The Scio area has become a hot spot of alpaca breeding.

Currently the tour offers the opportunity to visit three farms specializing in breeding alpacas. 

But, as you travel the tour route, keep your eyes open.  More and more small flocks of alpacas are appearing on area farms, demonstrating the intense interest that this unique animal has drawn over the past few years.
